Calleth Ardor Unto Action

Calleth ardor unto action, ‘Rest no longer!  Raise the standard!’
Let thy warriors loudly shout, thou Spirit who defendest me.
Cometh weariness to snare me and to drag me ‘neath the surface.
Though worn by these I shall be dauntless, basking in his majesty.
O Summon courage through my heart, ‘To arms, to arms!  From slumber wake!’
Rise thou might of ancients’ triumph, to gild my steps with righteous fire!
Say, come thou wilds and perils–––come!   Have at you, weakness as with fear!
My Lord hath galvanized his might!  They needn’t quake, whom he holds dear.
